The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, in collaboration with the Caricom Competition Commission (CCC), is set to host a series of high-level workshops on competition policy and law enforcement across OECS Member States.
These workshops aim to address key challenges in competition policy and law enforcement while promoting development and enhancing consumer welfare.
Building on the success of a pilot workshop held in St Lucia in June 2024, the OECS Commission, in partnership with the CCC, is committed to rolling out similar initiatives across other Member States. The pilot workshop, funded by the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Government of St Lucia, resulted in a comprehensive action plan for St Lucia, signaling a strong commitment to advancing competition policy and law enforcement.
Workshop Schedule:
- 17–18 February 2025: St Kitts and Nevis and Montserrat (combined session)
- 3–4 March 2025: St Vincent and the Grenadines
- 6–7 March 2025: Grenada
- 10–11 March 2025: Antigua and Barbuda
- 13–14 March 2025: Dominica
These workshops will introduce participants to key principles of competition law and develop practical strategies for implementing competition policies at the national level. They aim to enhance awareness, provide tangible solutions, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders.
