Project Component: 3.1 — Disaster Resilience in the Water Sector
Contract Title: Plant and Design-Build for the 7 Sisters Solar Photovoltaic Plant

The Government of Grenada has received a financing grant from the Green Climate Fund, managed by the German Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) toward the cost of the project “Improving the Climate Resilience of Grenada’s Water Supply System and Infrastructure (G-CREWS).” It intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the procurement of pipelines.

The National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa), on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the design, supply, and installation of a 150kW On-Grid Solar PV System to offset the daily energy demand of the 7 Sisters Pump Station in Grenada, as per the technical specifications and quantities outlined in the bidding document.

Bidding will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding procedures, as specified in the GCF/GIZ Procurement Regulations, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in these regulations.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Nawasa at [email protected], with a copy to [email protected], and request a copy of the bidding documents via a written application in English. The document will be sent by email.

  • Evidence of the bidder’s experience with at least three similar contracts within the last 5 years, with at least 80% of the works completed
  • Demonstration of the ability to meet the technical specifications outlined in the bidding documents

Bidding and qualification information must be submitted in English on the prescribed forms included in the bid documents. Submissions that do not meet the specified requirements or fail to demonstrate the bidder’s ability to perform satisfactorily will be disqualified and will not proceed to further evaluation.
