The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development will host a consultation session for private security companies regarding the Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME) Skills Qualification Certificate regime and its implications for regional movement.
This session is scheduled for Monday, 3 March 2025, at the Public Workers Union Building in Tanteen, St George, starting at 1 pm.
The meeting aims to facilitate the establishment of a national registration body that will manage applications from security officers seeking the CSME Skills Qualification Certificate.
The Caricom Single Market and Economy (CSME) is a crucial component of Caribbean regional integration. It includes mechanisms like the Skills Qualification Certificate, which allows certain categories of Caricom nationals, including private security officers, to move freely between member states for employment without the need for a work permit.
In this context, the Ministry encourages all security companies to contact Kymmala Francis at 440-2640 or via email at [email protected] to register for or attend the consultation.
