The Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Forestry, and Marine Resources informs the public of the resumption of fertiliser sales at the Mirabeau Plant Propagation Station from Monday, 27 January 2025, from 9 am to 1 pm.
Fertilisers available include:
- 15-15-15
- Urea
- Muriate of potash
- Triple Super Phosphate
- Mono Ammonium Phosphate
Procedure for the purchase of fertilisers:
- Fertilisers would only be sold to registered farmers that are actively engaged in farming
- A maximum of 5 bags of fertiliser will be sold to a farmer
- A farmer requesting more than 5 bags of fertiliser must present a written letter of approval from the Chief Extension Officer after a needs assessment is carried out by the Extension Division
- Farmers must come prepared to load fertiliser/s purchased on their private transport.
Farmers are also encouraged to use the fertiliser recommended by extension officers from the Ministry of Agriculture, Lands, Forestry, and Marine Resources.
