A powerful demonstration of community spirit and collaboration, St Andrew’s Development Organisation is proud to announce its Breast Cancer Awareness Walk 2024.

This is an important event that aims to raise funds for women battling with breast cancer and awareness among the general population.

This year, SADO is joining with partners such as the St Patrick’s Organisation for Development (SPOD), Women’s Haven, Courts Grenada Limited and KM2 Solutions, to host the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on 26 October 2024 from the Plains Playing Field to Sauteurs Bus Terminal, from 3 pm.

“Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against breast cancer, providing hope and support to those who need it most. SADO currently has 26 breast cancer survivors that we would support; some are based in our parish, but a large number of them are from St Patrick, this is why we decided to move the walk to St Patrick.” explained SADO President Royan Charles.

The collaboration between these organisations underscores a shared commitment to supporting Grenadian women and their families through challenging times, as the funds raised during the event will be directed towards providing financial assistance for medical treatment.

Community members, businesses and members of the public are invited to participate, donate, and show their support in any way they can. T-shirts for the walk can be purchased by contacting 449-9399 or ordering online.

Join us in making a difference and walking for a world where breast cancer no longer claims lives. Together, we can inspire hope and change. This is an important event that aims to raise funds for women battling with breast cancer and awareness among the general population.
