Applications are invited for the position of Business Partner/Data Analyst.
The incumbent will be responsible for gathering financial and operational data, perform evaluations and analysis, and present reports for actionable insights for decision making. This role is dynamic and agile and requires flexibility and creativity to meet the evolving needs of the organisation. Changes will occur based on the needs of the business and requirements from both Beverage Sector Group and Ansa McAL.
Key Duties include:
- Assist in the preparation of the BOARD implementation and reconciliation of data with the Accounting Team to optimise processes and reduce costs
- Preparation of financial management decision-making information to effectively guide management action and results through BI 4 Dynamics Reports. (The aim is to move away from the Excel dependency)
- Assist in preparation of the annual operating plan and assists in identifying opportunities to reduce costs or for process optimisation
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
- Monitor departments spend monthly and update the management team, making recommendations where required to optimise/reduce spend performance against plans and assist in the preparation of budget reviews
- Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures
- Work with Sector/Group IT to implement, design and create reports, ensuring all reports are pressured tested prior to becoming readily available to the relevant stakeholders
- Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
- Review the master data in D365 and align with the Sector recommendations ensuring that the data is accurate
- Participate in all meetings and training sessions with the Business Partnering Team in Trinidad
- Performs any other related duties as required by the job function
Qualification and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting , Economics or Business Management
- At least 3 to 5 years experience in an FMCG environment in a finance or analytics role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of MS office and other relevant software
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, IT and numerical skills
- Excellent organisational skills and self-motivated
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge
