Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Air Traffic Control Officer in the Air Traffic Services Department at Maurice Bishop International Airport, Grenada.
POSITION SUMMARY
Successful applicants will initially be required to undergo a series of training in preparation for the position of Air Traffic Controller (ATCO1). In the training phase, you will be appointed as an Air Traffic Control Cadet and must complete all necessary initial basic training involving the safety, regularity, and efficiency of International Air Navigation in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) standards. This phase will end with on-the-job training before you can qualify and be certified for the position.
Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications
Five (5) subject passes equivalent to General Certificate of Examination Ordinary level (GCE) or Caribbean Examination Council Examination (CXC) CSEC, Grade 3 and above including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, or an Associate Degree in Natural Science.
Air Traffic Controller eligibility requirements
To establish eligibility, the following should be checked:
- Age: must be between the ages of 21 and 30 years
- Language: be able to read, write, understand, and speak the English language by meeting the Level 6 English Language Proficiency requirements of ICAO Annex 1; and pass the Air Traffic Skills Assessment (ATSA) and achieve a score within a certain percentile of 3
- Pass medical and security clearance, including

- Medical Qualification: hold an ICAO Class 3 medical certificate
