Come join us for SilverSands National Learn to Swim Week as we celebrate our 10-year anniversary of swim weeks!

The first week was held in April of 2015 with 11 locations and 500 swimmers. Ten years later, the upcoming week will host 18 locations and 700-800 swimmers. Many thanks to all the sponsors, volunteers, and friends who have made this happen over the years.

The Silversands National Learn to Swim Week will take place the week after Easter, 2–6 April.

Free swim lessons are being offered throughout Grenada for both adults and children (5 years and older) at 18 locations from Sauteurs to Grand Anse Beach to Carriacou/Petite Martinique. You may register by going to www.getgrenadaswimming.com.

Quote from management at Silversands: “Naguib Sawiris and Silversands are delighted to be able to support Deb Eastwood and Get Grenada Swimming as they continue their outstanding work teaching children to swim and be safe in the water. Over the 10 years of this programme they have probably saved many lives by young people being able to swim at our beautiful beaches with a new level of competence. We thank them all for their excellent and much-needed work.”

Lessons will be 45 minutes long and start on the hour between 2 pm and 6 pm each day, Tuesday to Saturday. Participants may take lessons all 5 days.

Deb Eastwood, director of the initiative, says lessons will be offered until 6 pm in the evening, at ALL locations to make sure that those who work have a chance to attend. She gave gratitude to Silversands (a major sponsor), Budget Marine, Ting/Star Malt, SIFH Fish House, Spice Isle Marine, and Waggy-T.
