CITIZENSHIP BY INVESTMENT (CBI)
CAREER OPPORTUNITY – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) OFFICER

Grenada’s CBI programme has contributed significantly to the growth of Grenada’s economy and has received international recognition. The inward investment it promotes has led to the creation of sustainable long-term employment, specialist training, and the general broadening of skills for numerous Grenadians.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to join CBI’s expanding team as an Information Technology (IT) Officer.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide technical leadership and manage all technology services ensuring they are efficient and meet operational requirements.
  • Respond and troubleshoot basic PC, network, printing, and employee related IT issues and take the necessary actions to prevent excessive downtime.
  • Update and monitor the IT Strategic Plan ensuring timely execution.
  • Serve as lead IT liaison between the Unit and its hardware and software service providers, ensuring work is thorough and features required for operational efficiency are installed.
  • Conduct periodic tests to ensure the Unit’s systems and network are properly configured and protected from cyber-attacks.
  • Manage the Unit’s intranet ensuring proper usage.
  • Manage the preparation of RFPs and IT related Contracts for approval.
  • Receive, review, and participate in the contracting of service providers.
  • Manage the basic maintenance and updating of the Unit’s website.
  • Provide basic training to co-workers and provide tips for the efficient, safe, and correct use of the computer systems and applications.
  • Research and recommend leading-edge Information technology in response to the Unit’s changing needs.

The preferred mix of qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related area, or any equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.
  • Certification in database management, computer repairs or networking (e.g. A+, Network+, MCSE)
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position directly related to the responsibilities specified.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in Information Technology.
  • Ability to develop requests for and evaluate proposals in reference to leading-edge information services technology.
