Considering the recent heatwave affecting Grenada and the region, ACB Grenada Bank made a heartfelt demonstration of community support by donating fans to the General Hospital.
This charitable contribution aims to enhance the comfort of patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals within the hospital’s facilities.
Recognising the importance of a conducive environment for healing and recovery, ACB Grenada Bank has taken a proactive step in addressing the need for improved ventilation and cooling systems at the General Hospital. The donation of 24 fans is not only a practical solution but also reflects the company’s commitment to the well-being of the community.
The Minister for Health, Wellness and Religious Affairs Senator the Hon. Gayton J LaCrette received the donation on behalf of the General Hospital. He remarked, “In the fulfilment of their corporate social responsibility, the Ministry of Health Wellness and Religious Affairs would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to ACB Grenada Bank for this kind gesture. It will certainly go a long way, especially as we are experiencing technical difficulties with our AC units. The fans will provide relief for our medical and technical staff here at the General Hospital. To ACB Grenada Bank, thank you and hats off to you.”
The fans will be strategically placed throughout various areas of the hospital and will significantly improve the overall atmosphere, particularly in waiting areas, patient rooms, and staff break rooms. This donation aligns with ACB Grenada Bank’s corporate social responsibility initiatives, emphasising dedication to creating a positive social impact.
“We are delighted to contribute to the well-being of our community by providing the General Hospital with these fans. Especially in challenging times, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients and dedicated healthcare professionals is of paramount importance,” stated Edwin Francis, ACB Grenada Bank’s Business Development Officer.
