Job Summary
The Security Officer controls access to the restricted areas of the Maurice Bishop International Airport (MBIA); screens individuals and baggage entering the restricted areas; maintains the safety of operations; and ensures strict compliance with all established regulations, procedures and policies instituted by the Grenada Airports Authority (GAA).
Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications
- 5 subject passes including English Language, equivalent to General Certificate of Examination Ordinary level (GCE) or Caribbean Examination Council Examination (CXC) CSEC, Grade 3 and above
- Screening certificate
Specific Skills/Experience and/or Knowledge
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Keen observational skills
- Good profiling skills
- Good screening skills
- Sound knowledge of all the relevant local, regional and international guidelines, procedures and regulations governing airport security
