Sugar & Spice Retail Manager(s) duties include
- Lead Sugar & Spice Shop teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, service and cleanliness are met with a constant focus on customer satisfaction
- Initiate and coordinate staff training
- Create and maintain team member shift schedules
- Maintain a cooperative and harmonious working relationship between the management team and staff
- Leading the team to facilitate a positive work environment focused on quality and the highest levels of service
- Adhere to all Sugar & Spice policies and procedures, rules and regulations
- Receive, manage and rectify customer complaints
- Manage human resource issues as they arise, including disciplinary notices and reports
- Ensuring that the stock of supplies is sufficient and that the inventory is constantly kept up to date and reconciled
- Support the management team with operational decisions
Qualifications & Attributes
- Bachelor’s Degree in business management, marketing, accounting or any other business-related degree
- A minimum of 5 years management experience within the restaurant, retail or hospitality industries
- A valid driver’s licence
- Able to work within shifts that include Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays and evenings
- Must possess a high sense of responsibility, customer-oriented, positive attitude, reliable, excellent leadership, good communication skills, motivator, energetic, dedicated to his or her work and ability to work within a team
- Possesses a passion for quality products, outstanding hospitality and an exceptional customer experience
- Excellent at team building and employee development
- Strives for operational excellence through exceptional on-time execution
- Has excellent communication and time management skills
- A self-starter who can work unsupervised, demonstrate critical thinking/problem solving and create systems and solutions

About Sugar & Spice
Sugar & Spice was founded in 1985 and is now a household name, producing Grenada’s premium ice cream. We are a family-owned and operated company with a close-knit team of 30+ employees. Our manufacturing plant and head office is located in L’anse aux Epines, distributing ice cream to hotels, supermarkets and retail outlets throughout Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. We have two retail shops, Spiceland Mall and Bruce Street Mall. Our retail shops serve our ice cream as well as fried chicken and chips, pizza, coffee and pastries.
