The Government of Grenada in collaboration with Housing Authority of Grenada (HAG) is partnering to implement a new wastewater collection, treatment and management system at the La Calome Housing Scheme, St David.
At present, the current wastewater system is clogged and needs urgent revamping. The implementation of the new wastewater collection, treatment and management system will ensure a safe and healthy physical environment and also prevent environmental and public health hazards for the residents of La Calome and surrounding areas.
During the week of the 27 March 2023, from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on weekends, the residents of La Calome and surrounding areas will experience some disturbances as follows:
- Delayed traffic
- Noise
- Vibration
- Dust
- Fumes
The project is expected to last approximately 12 weeks. We are also asking the residents to be mindful of water usage during this period, e.g. flushing of toilets, laundry etc.
As we strive to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents of La Calome, we ask for your continued cooperation, as we work speedily to resolve this matter.
The Government of Grenada and the Housing Authority of Grenada apologise for any inconvenience resulting from this exercise.
