I am deeply saddened to have received notification of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll.

I wish to express my condolences and sympathies to the members of the Royal family, the Government and the people of the United Kingdom.

Today we mourn the loss of this great enduring Monarch who served her country and the Commonwealth with incomparable devotion for more than 70 years.

Although she will be greatly missed, her legacy of leadership and exemplary service shall live on indelibly.

I shall always remember Her Majesty with great fondness and admiration. May she rest in peace.

Guidance on a condolence book will be provided in a subsequent release.

Governor-General’s House, Grenada

King of Grenada? We are an independent island. Charles can NEVER be the king of Grenada. Something is wrong with that statement. Its time that we start to change things around and not mention “her majesty this and that. “Royal Grenada” etc. Lets be for real! We respect the titles, but they mean nothing to us.

Some of you people are dumb and stupid. Grenada had a queen? How do you know she is getting into heaven? Do you know what kind of life she lived? All rich people and celebrities goes to Heaven, not! The atrocities these people committed.

How is she our queen when we are claiming to be an independent nation?

She was Queen of Grenada, a completely separate role to her role as Queen of the UK. She was also, separately, Queen of Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries. She was a woman with multiple jobs, all of them independent of the other.

I cannot express how heartbroken I am at this news… the Governor-General’s message was beautiful… we have lost our Queen, one of the most remarkable and impactful figures of the last century. I hope she rests easy with God, having been reunited with her beloved Prince Philip… God Save King Charles III, King of Grenada

this is a huge end of an era. While the royal impact isn’t really felt around the commonwealth much, it’s still huge news.
