Forecasters at the Meteorological Office at the Maurice Bishop International Airport are monitoring the westward movement of a Tropical wave.
At 2 pm, the wave was located 52 W° – 53 W° from 02 N° – 15 N° that is 780 miles East of Grenada and moving westward around 15 kt.
The Tropical wave is expected to bring cloudy conditions beginning during the early morning on Sunday with possible light showers. By late morning into the afternoon, overcast conditions are expected with moderate showers, which may become heavy at times, with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
The likelihood of significant impacts is greater for the sister isles of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. These conditions can improve or deteriorate over time. Thus, the Met Office continues to monitor the progress of this Tropical Wave as it moves across the island chain.
