All you have to read the ethics committee article here on NowGrenada.
    People it’s doomsday.

Grenadians are still not taking up the vaccine quickly enough. How many infections, hospitalisations or deaths will it take for Grenadians to realize it is not a joke? Still far too much false misinformation on social media. Still too many gullible people believing it.
There will be 2,000 cases by the end of this week, will that be enough to wake people up to take the vaccine?

I think some woke up already. If I remember right even some of the commentators on this platform had a different opinion towards vaccine not so long ago. Don’t want to call out names. The numbers of infected persons might not scare them so much but the number of death surely does. People who still want to compare Covid with the common cold might want to ask, when last the hospital was full of people who had the cold and died.

I hope so. When I saw the Facebook post from KOMG regarding 14 cases in Carriacou, out of 7 replies 5 said “Don’t worry, God will save us” these people are not getting vaccinated & I think with their views a lot are at the higher end of the age range & are most likely to get it with more severe symptoms. If they want to quote God they would be better off saying “God gave man wisdom to protect himself by whatever means, including vaccines.

You are right. But trust me, you won’t get that blind faith in God out of those people mind. They are either too old or too fanatic in their worship of God. Trusting he will set everything right and they don’t have to do anything, not even getting vaccinated. People like that will never change their mind because they do not have one on their own. The pastor is thinking for them and what he says goes.
People, don’t sit and wait on God, help yourself then God will help you

Look at the difference in one month with the stats of Grenada.
I am one for transparency but from having one death to jumping to 12 in the space of 4 weeks and look at the numbers being hospitalized as I sure the general hospital don’t have many ventilators working currently.
What we now have to do, is keep our eyes on the new figures for the people rushing to get vaccine.
There are many ways of getting people to do things and scaryimg to life out of them seems to work as we hope to see with the figures of new vaccinated citizens soon to be published.

vaccinated numbers going up but way too slowly – at this rate by year-end we would not reach 50%.
      Hope the rate increases soon……

What people don’t understand is that today they may have a negative test but by the end of the week that same person can test positive and be seriously ill. The key now is taking the vaccine. Even if you contact the virus, the vaccine will save you. The test only prove that one is safe “now”. But there are so many ways one can get infected before the end of the day. People please, get vaccinated. NOW
