Over and over we said, that it’s just a matter of time, that quarantine is a huge damper on the economy and we can’t stay in a bubble forever, that we have a great vaccine, yet since March only ~20% of the population listened (and honestly, yachties prob make up half of those vaxxed). We could have had a full Carnival if the numbers were high enough. But people would rather trust Tik-tok and WhatsApp than CNN or BBC. So at the end of the day, those who can’t hear will feel.

Then again, the PPE protocols are still working, so maybe (hopefully) it won’t be as bad as it looks…

You win… why are you comparing tik tok to CCN. Guess they are in the same propaganda boat.
Wait and see how much people in hospital and in critical shape before you say “So at the end of the day, those who can’t hear will feel.”

Once the virus takes hold of a largely unvaccinated population the number of confirmed cases can easily double every few days. first 35 cases, now 70, next 140, 280, 600, 1200, that would be in one week, imagine how many potentially in week two, three, four etc. This can easily be avoided by vaccination. Your Gods & quack medicines are not going to help you.

“Your Gods and quack medicines”. Mr man, you bring yourself to a country that is steeped in culture and tradition (whether proven works or not) from such a place like the UK to live out your years and have the audacity to talk about the islands people in such a way to belittle and antagonise. If we believe in our “Gods and quack medicines” then why chose to live among us as a people. Why not in such a crisis pack up and go back to the UK where they have handled Covid so well. Where people have followed protocols and where they have established herd immunity because the majority of the population is vaccinated (because they have not).

Mr man stop your foolishness you hear! If you’re making a point make your point. DO NOT belittle the people and their culture and traditions in the place you have decided to take up residency. Thanks

      Just Ignorant!

I agree that more people should be vaccinated to curtail the spread of this disease but Grenada has managed Covid better than most countries. To be this far into the life cycle of the virus and have only 1 reported death is impressive. In comparison, the US and Europe has 60% to 70% vaccination rates and can’t seem to suppress the spread and death rate. …maybe God is really protecting his people.

Wish more person would be thinking rationally as you have expressed in these comments.
We cannot and would have never avoided the COVID-19.
The management strategy was always to not have rush on the “non-existing” medical facilities and to minimize the fatality rate.
1 death is fair, but look at the hospitalization rate, especially the ICU rate? Persons can get covid and sit home for a few days and overcome it in close to 99.97% of the cases in Grenada.
Others are pushing vac. even when there is a higher, well established by the companies destruction of live rate.
        We wait to see …..
