As a result of the continued spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus and a new and updated threat assessment by our Ministry of Health, the Caribbean Public Health Agency (Carpha), the Pan American Health Organisation (PAHO) and the World Health Organisation (WHO); the Government of Grenada will not allow any non-national with a travel history within the last 14 days from mainland China, whether in transit or originating, to enter any local port as of 12 am on Sunday, 2 February 2020.
Any national returning to Grenada with similar travel history will be quarantined for 14 days.
While the Government of Grenada recognises and commends the tremendous efforts being made by the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the WHO, we believe that in light of the accelerated rate of confirmed cases, the decision of some of our fellow Caricom nations and the need to alleviate the uneasiness of our citizens in Grenada, we must make this decision, to prevent the global threat from reaching our borders. As a responsible government we are guided by both the international suggested protocols and separately by the wishes and concerns of our citizenry. It is in an effort to find the balance between these two guiding principles that we have made this decision.
The travel ban on non-nationals with recent travel history to mainland China and the mandatory quarantine for Grenadians returning home after visiting or transiting through mainland China, will remain in effect until further notice. All travellers are urged to be guided accordingly.

Again the black leadership in the Caribbean and Africa are the only ones not evacuating their people from China and again I said the price was probably right, the people of Grenada have to know that their government is not making an effort to remove the Grenadians from there
The only people not been evacuated from China are Caribbean nationals and Africans, Why? Because the Chinese ambassadors are able to convince ONLY BLACK LEADERS not to remove their people, ( I guess the price was right) so what people are you planning quarantine for 14 days when you are not trying to get them out of China, The small Caribbean Islands should get together and charter a flight to get them out, the British has 30,000. and today they told their people in China to get through charter or other means but get out of there.
