Three homes for the elderly are benefiting from the Xtreme White show which was held on Carnival Saturday night at the Grenada National Stadium.
Organised by both Qwest and Sunshine Promotions, the show’s organisers said that it is normal for them to give back to the community after having any event, and this time around they are providing financial assistance to senior citizens’ homes.
The beneficiaries are the Hillsview Home in St John; the Grand Anse Home for the Aged in Calliste, St George; and the Hilarion Home in St Patrick.
Making the presentation to the Hillsview Home representative was Steve Duncan of Qwest Promotions. Each home will receive EC$2,000 each. He told Sonia Duncan, who accepted the cheque, that both entertainment companies are very pleased to provide the financial assistance.
Sonia Duncan who is the Administrator at Hillsview, said that any contribution is always welcome, and made a general plea for others to do likewise, as the homes for the elderly are always in need of help, be it financial or other things.
