The Regional MSME Matching Grants Programme is a funding mechanism under the Unleashing the Blue Economy of the Caribbean (UBEC) Project, designed to strengthen and expand economic opportunities within the Blue Economy. The programme supports MSMEs operating in the Fisheries, Marine Tourism, and Waste Management sectors.
Under the current Window 2 Call for Proposals, eligible Value Chain Groups may apply for grants ranging from US$100,000 to US$150,000.
A Value Chain Group consists of 3 or more MSMEs that work together to add value to a product or service. Examples include:
- A fisher, seafood processor, and restaurant working together to bring seafood products to market
- A marine tour operator, accommodation provider, and transportation service collaborating to enhance visitor experiences
- A waste collection company, recycling facility, and manufacturer working together to transform waste into marketable products
Through these collaborative partnerships, the programme aims to improve productivity, strengthen market linkages, increase resilience, and create sustainable economic opportunities throughout the Blue Economy.
Eligible applicants must be legally registered MSMEs operating in Grenada, St Lucia, or St Vincent and the Grenadines and must meet all programme eligibility requirements outlined in the Call for Proposals documentation.
Interested Value Chain Groups are strongly encouraged to attend one of the information sessions to gain valuable guidance on preparing a competitive application.
