Global Girls is a 15-year-old youth performing arts organization based on the south side of Chicago, creating and presenting socially conscious, youth-driven theatre.

Global Girls has worked in Ghana, Kenya and India with other groups of girls helping them to use their voices to craft and present stories that reflect their realities.

Whilst in Grenada the group hopes to work with a consistent group of at least 12 to 15 girls between the ages of 14 and 18.

One of the main objectives of this project will be working toward a public performance and an exchange where the girls chosen here who participate in the program will travel to Chicago in the summer of 2016.

Supported by:

  • UN Women
  • Ministry of Social Development & Housing
  • Grenada National Organisation of Women (GNOW)
  • Grenada Planned Parenthood Association (GPPA)
  • Global Girls
