Police Investigate Shooting Incident in St. George’s

Police are investigating the circumstances in which a 26 year old resident of Gouyave, St John, was shot in his left leg.

The alleged incident occurred about 5:45 pm on Saturday 31 August on H A Blaize Street, in St. George’s.

The victim, Clint Thomas, 26 years old of Gouyave, St. John, told members of the Criminal Investigation Department, that he was sitting on a wall in the Herbert Blaize Street area when he heard a loud explosion and realized that he was shot in his left leg.

Thomas was taken to the General Hospital, St. George’s where he was admitted as patient.

Anyone having information concerning the incident is asked to call the Criminal Investigation Department on 440-3921 or Police hotline on 444-1958.

Investigation is continuing.
