A training Workshop under the theme ‘The Music User and the Music Creator — A Marriage of Convenience’ will be the main highlight of the Annual General Meeting of the Eastern Caribbean Caribbean Collective Organisation for Music.
The more than 400 members in the various OECS territories will be participating in the AGM on Saturday 27 July 2013 using technology as the main form of communicating the activities of the Organisation for the past year.
Scheduled to start 10:00 am at the 1st Floor Conference Room of the Cultural Development Foundation, Barnard Hill, Castries, St. Lucia, the meeting will be broadcast via Skype to the membership in the other territories. In Grenada the membership will gather at Marryshow House.
The agenda will include:
- Approving the Minutes of the 2012 AGM
- Receiving the Chairman’s Report
- Receiving the Audited Financial Statements for the year ended 31st December 2012
- Appointment of Auditors
“In a year regarded as extremely challenging economically the highlight of the AGM is expected to be the report on the organization financial performance for 2012,” said ECCO’s General Manager Steve Etienne.
Members will also be receiving their statements and royalty payments relating to airplay and general performances for the 2012 performance period. The workshop which is scheduled to commence at 1:00pm will also be open to all persons who are interest in learning more about copyright matters and those who will like to become members of ECCO.
