All the elected members of Parliament for the New National Party are expected to attend church services on Saturday and Sunday.
Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell announced during his swearing in ceremony that this weekend will be national days of prayer, and on Friday night Campaign manager of the NNP, Mr Kenny Lalsingh, said that all the members will attend churches in their various constituencies.
“As a mark of respect and thanks to God and supporters, all your elected Members of Parliament will be attending church services in the church of their choice on Saturday and Sunday,” Lalsingh said at the Party’s victory rally which was held in the athletic section of the Grenada National Stadium.
During the rally which was addressed by all the 15 winning candidates, most of them reminded the thousands of supporters that the election campaign is over and the time has come for them to stop “seeing green” which is the colour of the party.
“Stop seeing green and see Grenada,” said Nickolas Steele, who was elected as the Member of Parliament for the Town of St George. “We now have to deal with building and making the country a success,” he added.
