On 25 November 2021, Her Excellency Malgorzata Wasilewska, Head Delegation of the European Union to Barbados, the Eastern Caribbean States, the OECS and Caricom/Cariforum will visit the Grenada Bureau of Standards and the Marketing & National Importing Board.
This effort is to boost relations with the beneficiaries of the project “Agri-Food Sector Development & Strengthening of the National Food Safety System in Grenada.”
This project was launched in Grenada on 29 September 2021 with Hon. Gregory Bowen, Minister of Finance, Economic Development and Physical Development, Public Utilities and Energy in attendance. The project will fund 3 refrigerated trucks for the Marketing & National Importing Board — the main beneficiary, while the Grenada Bureau of Standards and the Ministry of Agriculture will benefit from training in the areas of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and post-harvest handling techniques.
