Testing in other parts of the world are done in mass to large sections of the population. In Grenada it appears testing is mostly done when someone is symptomatic; therefore it is possible that we may see a much higher likelihood of positivity. Unless we change the way testing is administered, you may not want to compare Grenada positivity to the rest of the world.
Of greater concern is the number of deaths vs those that are hospitalized. 151 people have been hospitalized, 75 have died, and 72 remained hospitalized. Not taking in to account those that may have died outside of being hospitalized, it appears only 4 have been discharged from the hospital to go home. People are either waiting WAY too long before going to the hospital or we need to improve the level of care in the hospital. I imagine it is mostly the prior.

Why no one talking about 12 deaths in one day? Sept 20 deaths = 63; Sept 21 = 75 — and these are just the ones that were officially diagnosed with covid…
I remember when the pandemic just broke out the WHO said the death rate of COVID-19 was 3-4%. And this was based on some calculations that I find quite stunning. They divided the number of deaths by the number of confirmed cases instead of the total cases. It’s true that they may not have known the total cases but they sure did SELL it that way. So why the blowing of trumpets to announce a 4% death rate and when it was discovered to be a fraction of a per cent they went silent. Instead, they shifted the focus to stopping the spread of the virus. This seems quite deceptive to me. I wonder how many people still believe that it kills 4% of people since they never corrected the statement? Then they try to lump this “vaccine” in with other vaccines and it does not matter if you are pro-all-other-vaccines and anti-COVID-19 vaccine you are still an anti-vax. Sounds like sick or ill logic to me. People who question this vaccine–and this includes scientists and doctors–are somehow crazy? Like Galileo was crazy I guess. I know politics is like a mafia but is science becoming like politics now? We will see who ends up on the wrong side of history–and hopefully, they don’t try to re-write the history. But thankfully it is slowly emerging that what happened in this pandemic was the dark side of humanity and I am not talking about vaccine hesitancy!! The COVID-19 vaccine according to VAERS has damaged and killed more people than ALL OTHER VACCINES COMBINED, ALL for the past 30 years. History will speak!!!
If anyone looks up VAERS – False Information, that is the category your misinformed, downright lying anti vaccine propaganda comes under. Agreed the death rate is not 4% it is more like 0.2% but I don’t know where you get your 4% from, I have never seen that figure from any official sources.

The key thing most people do not seem to be taking into account is that despite the small number of deaths, and only a couple of thousand active cases, probably most of which are asymptomatic so not really cases at all in the true meaning of the word historically speaking. The fact is per 1 million we are much much worse than America, Britain, Europe, and literally 50 times worse than India. Who considering there 1.3 Billion are doing better with there adoption of Ivermectin than all the clever 1st World Countries. Just check our World in Data, we in Grenada are nearly off the charts in comparison.

Somehow people seem to interpret the positive test rate differently. A commentator talks about 76% and health experts on yesterday’s GBN News mention 18%. So much to statistics and how they can be manipulated
It has to be new positive cases divided by number of tests multiplied by 100. It seems to be if they do fewer tests, probably only people with flu like symptoms, they get fewer positives but higher percentage. When they do more tests, like at weekend, probably less people showing symptoms but higher number of positives with lower percentage.
More tests equals more total positives, lower percentage.

Big slowdown in testing again, only 188 yesterday. 143 new cases, therefor 76% positive. Big increase in recoveries, another 208.
I think it is safe to say the numbers don’t add up. And no one is asking for clarification. 418 ppl in quarantine, that would. Wan 209 PCR test done on them (assumption). Still only 168 reported, and 149 new cases locally………you do the math….
