Staff of Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited bids farewell to outgoing Managing Director, Keith Johnson, as he leaves the helm of the Grenada operations to take up his new appointment as Managing Director, Republic Bank (Suriname), NV.
Johnson was seconded to Grenada from Republic Bank (Guyana) in 2009. During his 12 years as head of the Grenada operations, he led the Bank very successfully through many turbulent economic challenges.
Amid these challenges, he was able to keep the Bank profitable, growing the assets base from $739 million in 2019 to $1.8 billion, as at February 2021. Another of his noteworthy accomplishments is the successful acquisition of the Scotiabank operations in Grenada in 2019, which restored Republic Bank as the largest commercial bank in Grenada.
His commitment to corporate social responsibility was unmatched, and this is reflected in the Bank being awarded the ECCB’s Best Corporate Citizen Award on 5 out of 9 occasions during his tenure. He successfully negotiated and completed over 25 special projects under the Bank’s flagship Power to Make a Difference programme, valued in excess of $1.3 million.
Naomi De Allie, a daughter of the soil, is appointed Managing Director effective 1 April 2021.
The Board of Directors, Managers and Staff of Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited extend best wishes to Johnson for good health and continued success, as he takes up his new assignment.
Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited
Mr. Keith Johnson is an honourable man in the true sense of the word with tremendous integrity. He is very approachable and very humble. He will continue to excel wherever he is assigned to serve. I wish him well in his next port of call.
Ms. DeAllie is a time tested and highly savvy and experienced professional in the banking industry. I have no doubt that upon taking over the baton from Mr. Johnson she will execute her leg of the relay masterfully.
