A 25-year old Medical Student who was found dead at her rented apartment in True Blue (St. George) has been identified as Nyawira Nwaura of Kenya.
The body of Nwaura was discovered on the morning of Saturday 11th May, 2013 after she failed to pick up her sister, who was visiting her from Canada, at the Maurice Bishop International Airport.
She was found in a kneeling position inside her bedroom with a belt buckled around her neck and the other end tied to the bed post.
Nwaura, who was on her final year in medical school, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of asphyxia, constriction of the neck and hanging.
Police investigations continue.
