The National Youth Parliamentarian for St Andrew North-West and Prime Minister of the National Youth Parliament Joshua Andall officially handed over chatbots to the Chief Education Officer at the Ministry of Education as part of his flagship initiative, Project Edubot.
Andall, a youth leader, tech-creator and advocate, has been making a remarkable impact across the Caribbean. Through the OECS Skills and Innovation Project, he has worked closely with top education officials to drive initiatives that enhance learning and foster innovation in the region.
His contributions include collaborating with the OECS Commission, the Commonwealth Secretariat, and UNESCO to advance digital solutions in youth development. Notably, he helped design a regional chatbot for the OECS website to improve citizen access to services, as well as being a part of developing the digital harmonised curriculum now used by teachers and students across the Caribbean.
On Monday, 22 September, Project Edubot was officially launched; an innovative initiative aimed at harnessing artificial intelligence to transform classroom learning and provide streamlined support for both educators and students.
As part of the initiative, a training workshop will be conducted for teachers across the island to equip them with the tools and knowledge to integrate this technology effectively.
