Guided by the theme: “ELEVATE: Pharmacy, Pharmacists, Health and Wellness” the association’s first major activity will be observing and celebratimg 25 September as World Pharmacists Day. “In alignment with the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), this year’s global theme is “Think Health, Think Pharmacist,” said the release, adding that, “GAP will proudly join the worldwide celebration by spotlighting the work of pharmacists across Grenada. Planned initiatives include public education campaigns, health-focused outreach, and activities designed to raise awareness of the pharmacist’s role as a frontline health professional; accessible, knowledgeable, and trusted.”

GAP’s priorities for the future will include:

Yes I love to see this and I’m here for it. The Healthcare needs team members and Pharmacists are easily accessible and very willing to facilitate not just dispensing of medicines but educate patients on medication use and safety. We advise on the use of medical devices and can help manage medication therapy. We are here to listen guide and empower the public. You may find us in the “back” but we are not backward. During Covid while many entities remained shut or inaccessible we were there on the line with you every step of the way. If all Pharmacies/Dispensaries close just for one day the Hospitals will be overwhelmed.
