The Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Government of Grenada, is offering undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, general medicine/medical residency scholarship opportunities for Grenadian nationals through the “Heydar Aliyev International Education Grant Programme” for 2025–2026 academic year.  

Studies would be done onsite at selected universities in the academic year 2025/2026.

Scholarship benefits: The applicants approved for the Scholarship will be provided with the following:

  1. Tuition fees: Tuition fee and language preparatory courses (in accordance with the language of instruction) for the study period at the undergraduate, graduate, general medicine, medical residency, doctoral level
  2. International flights: An international economy class flight ticket to Baku, Azerbaijan (from the country of origin) and from Azerbaijan (to the country of origin, respectively) once a year
  3. Monthly allowance: Monthly allowance of 800 AZN (US$470) for accommodation, daily expenses, educational materials (10 months each year, except July and August)
  4. Medical insurance: Yearly allowance of 200 AZN (US$117) for medical care and medication during the study period in the Republic of Azerbaijan

Note: All the privileges and payments under Part 3 (Scholarship Benefits) will be applicable only for the duration of each programme described under Part 2 (Educational levels).

  1. Visa and registration: A single-entry visa to the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as a temporary residence permit for the stay in the country for the period of each academic year

Documents required for the Azerbaijan Scholarship Programme 2025: 

  • Complete the application form
  • Certified copies of ALL academic certificates and transcripts
  • 6 photographs (3 x 4 size)
  • Medical certificate of good health
  • Certified copy of valid passport bio data page
  • Motivation letter/personal essay (500 words)

Azerbaijan Scholarship Duration:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree Scholarship: 4–5 years
  2. General Medicine Programme Scholarship: 5–6 years
  3. Master’s Scholarships: 1.5–2 years
  4. Medical Residency Programme Scholarship: 2–5 years
  5. Doctoral (PhD) Scholarship: 3 years

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply to the Human Resource Development Division (Scholarship Desk), Ministry of Education, to be nominated. For a scholarship application form, please contact 440-2737/417-9762. Deadline for application 18 April 2025.
