A delegation from the Grenada Cultural Foundation headed by the Foundation’s Chairman Christopher DeRiggs recently concluded a 2-day fact-finding mission to Carriacou.
The objectives of the trip were to:

- Engage key cultural organisations to acquaint them with the role of the Cultural Foundation and explore opportunities for collaboration to achieve the foundation’s mandate
- Identify cultural partners to roll out the annual programmes of the foundation, such as the Aunty Tek Spice Word Festival and Emancipation
While in Carriacou, the delegation met with representatives from the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, Big Drum practitioners, Shakespeare masqueraders, a Ministry of Tourism representative, a Ministry of Youth representative, and the principals from the Harvey Vale and Mt Pleasant primary schools.
The other members of the delegation included John James, Board Director; Livingston Nelson, Chief Executive Officer, and Donnalyn Watson-Henry, Project Officer.
