The 2025 Margaret Dowe Netball Tournament commenced on Saturday, 15 February at 4 pm at the River Road netball court with a march past of the 19 participating teams and an opening ceremony.
The 2025 tournament is again sponsored by the Hon. Peter David and NEXA Credit Union.
Senator the Honourable Claudette Joseph delivered remarks and pledged her government’s support for community sports and the upgrade of the River Road hard court. Camelia Brown, Marketing and Communication Officer at NEXA Credit Union, again part Sponsor, made remarks and pledged the Credit Union’s support for netball and sports generally, while Hon. Peter David, Parliamentary Representative for the Town of St George and main sponsor, also made remarks guaranteeing continued support for the tournament which he has been associated with over the last 16 years.
Lebert Alexander, President Netball Grenada, addressed the large crowd at the opening. He highlighted netball’s success over the last year and praised 2 past netballers, Barbara Simpson and Michaele Hercules, who were awarded for their exceptional contribution to netball at this year’s Independence Celebrations. He shared plans for the upcoming year for the association and declared the 2025 tournament open.

- 3rd Westmorland (first timer to the tournament)

- Tiny Mites Division: Dodgers (9) vs Grace Lutheran (1)
- Junior Division: SGI Power Rangers (22) vs Combined Stars (4)
- Senior Division: The Unknown (23) vs Boca Ballerz (10)
The next set of games will be played on Thursday, 20 February.
