Grenlec is informing its valued customers about a recurrence of the power fluctuations that has plagued some customers in the south of the island on Monday, 20 January.
Our crews have diligently worked into the night tracing lines in an attempt to identify the cause of the problem, which appears to be originating in the Woburn area.
Having thoroughly examined the area and restored electricity to customers in Woburn, we began receiving reports this morning that the fluctuations were again occurring.
At present, customers in Woburn are experiencing an electricity outage as we endeavour to further assess the network to determine the root cause of the issues being experienced.
We regret the inconvenience to customers and thank you for your understanding and patience while we work through this challenge. Rest assured that the committed and dedicated team at Grenlec are working hard to identify and resolve the issue in the shortest time possible.
Grenlec’s crews are responding urgently to restore electricity and stabilise supply. We will provide updates on our progress.
