On Friday, 10 January 2025, Huggins pledged $10,000 towards the Lindon Victor Foundation, established by the 2024 Olympic Bronze Medallist Lindon Victor, OBE.

Victor’s relationship with Huggins spans more than a decade, but became more ardent about 8 years ago during his quest for Olympic glory; he is the company’s brand ambassador. Victor expressed immense gratitude to the organisation for its continued commitment to him and for its support throughout the most earnest years of his career.

As part of the launch of the Lindon Victor Foundation (LVF), which was held a day earlier at the Flying Fish Restaurant located at the beautiful and iconic Mt Cinnamon Beach Resort, Huggins hosted 20 of the nation’s top performing student athletes including the likes of CARIFTA champion triple jumper Crystophe Calliste, Ethan Sam, Joshem Sylvester, Shantay Augustine, Samuel Green and other young stars of our track and field to a delectable lunch and motivational session dubbed the “Huggins Power Lunch.”

Victor used the opportunity to impress upon the students the need to be of good character and to use the opportunities presented to them to build and develop themselves but also to help others along the way. Chief Executive Officer of Huggins Anya Chow Chung underscored these sentiments and shared with the athletes that it was Lindon’s outstanding character and sound values which align with Huggins’ corporate culture and ethos making him a perfect ambassador to carry and promote the now over a century old corporate brand. Hon. Delma Thomas, Minister for Sports; Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority; Veda Bruno-Victor, General Secretary of the Grenada Olympic Committee and First Vice President of PanAm Sports, and Desiree Stephens, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and General Secretary of the Grenada Athletics Association, were also present.

Through the foundation, students across the tri-island state will benefit from the provision of school uniforms, books and general school supplies.

The Board of Directors, Management and Staff of Geo. F Huggins & Company (Grenada) Limited congratulate Lindon Victor, OBE on this bold move and wish him continued success as he continues to create his legacy as an influential and positive figure in Grenadian history.
