The Ministry of Infrastructure advises the public that the Moliniere Road will be closed at midnight on Friday, 15 November 2024.
The opening of the Moliniere road was employed as a temporary measure earlier this week, to facilitate motorists travelling to the West Coast, after heavy rain caused flash flooding, resulting in landslides in the by-pass road through Mt Moritz, known as Jones Road, as well as Mt Kuma and Willis.
Motorists are advised that debris from landslides along the detour roads at Mt Kuma, Jones Road and Willis have been removed, and they are now reopened to vehicular traffic.
