In Carriacou, where the seagulls soar
A paradise almost lost to the storm’s fierce roar
Hurricane Beryl struck with unyielding might
Turning days to darkness, stealing the light.
But within the heart of each broken street
Our land of reefs thrives undefeated and complete
The Cayaks rise with hands joined tight
Kindness and community kindled in the darkest night.
From distant lands, where the sun also shines
Came voices united, crossing the all party lines.
A global community, bound by love’s thread
Brought new hope to where disaster had spread.
Ships laden with aid, planes through the sky
Carried the promise that the world would try
Try to rebuild, try to restore, the island’s heart
    To beat once more.
Children’s laughter will mingles with waves
Overcoming sorrow, through the lives we save.
With each rebuilt home, each planted tree
Emerges a symbol of the best of humanity.
Carriacou stands, not broken but strong
For in unity, we right every wrong
An island reborn, in love and new light
Emerges from shadows, into the bright.
So let this tale be forever told
of Carriacou’s spirit of hearts made of gold
Of a world that gathered, of hands that gave,
Proving together, our nation’s power to save.
