New York-based United Mission of Goodwill Inc. has donated much-needed supplies to the TopHill Senior Citizen Home, Hillsborough Smart Health Centre and the Princess Royal Hospital.
This marks the first time the mission has extended its generosity to Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
Judy Blades, a Kayak-born Health Coach and one of the mission organisers, emphasised the joy and fulfillment she felt in collaborating with others to give back to her community.
Hon. Tevin Andrews, Minister and Member of Parliament for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and Local Government, commended the initiative. He highlighted the importance of private entities joining forces with the Government to enhance the quality healthcare service. Such collaborative efforts, he said, are essential for raising patient care standards.
In addition to supplies, residents of the TopHill Senior Citizen Home benefited from therapy sessions, further contributing to their wellbeing.
The donation of supplies underscores the Government’s commitment to improving healthcare facilities and services in the tri-island state and bringing hope and relief to the community.
