The inaugural AI Youth Summit will be held in Grenada from 3–21 June 2024, at the Grenada Youth Centre.

To conduct the sessions, the Division of Youth in the Ministry of Youth and Sports is collaborating with the AI Newbies Camp, which has members in Grenada and the US.

The AI Summit is a transformative event designed to empower young Grenadians including students aged 18 to 25 with essential skills and knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI).

The programme was originally scheduled to begin earlier this year, but this was changed to cater to the overwhelming interest and ensure as many participants as possible will be afforded the opportunity to attend.

The 3-week AI Summit will commence with an opening ceremony, followed by a comprehensive series of sessions. This initiative promises to give an impactful experience with morning, afternoon, and weekend sessions for approximately 100 participants.

The AI Youth Summit is an immersive experience aimed at equipping participants with entrepreneurial insights, practical applications of AI in real-world scenarios, and strategies for leveraging remote work opportunities for sustainable income generation.

Through engaging sessions, attendees will explore various aspects of AI, including AI-generated content, emerging technologies in creative industries, ethical considerations, and the integration of AI into business ventures.

The final week will feature a special “Train the Trainer” workshop extended to young professionals already engaged in AI technology, coding, or related fields. It aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to serve as facilitators for the AI youth summer camp scheduled for July.

The Division of Youth recognises the pivotal role of technology in youth development, and remains steadfast in its commitment to providing relevant training and programmes to nurture their talents and curiosity.

Boundless opportunities await in the AI landscape, and the Division is proud to partner in fostering the skills of Grenadian youth.
