The Rotary Club of Grenada is thrilled to announce this year’s holiday event, Carols by Candlelight, will be a festive celebration featuring three captivating concerts all in one magical evening.

In the spirit of spreading joy and warmth during the holiday season, the Rotary Club of Grenada has announced that it has curated an unforgettable evening, showcasing the various facets of Christmas through music, community, and goodwill.

The overall 2023 theme of this year’s event is ‘the Magic of Christmas’. In curating a magical evening for patrons, the ‘magic’ will be represented in three concerts on the evening highlighting three enchanting aspects of the season.

Concert 1: The Magic of Nativity

The first concert sets the stage for the evening, exploring the timeless magic of the nativity scene. Chairman of CBC Richard Strachan said “the audience will be transported to the heart of the Christmas story through enchanting carols and melodies, capturing the essence of this sacred and cherished tale.”

Concert 2: The Magic of Santa Claus

The second concert unwraps the magic of Santa Claus, bringing to life the wonder and excitement that the jolly man in red brings to the season. Audiences of all ages will be delighted by the festive tunes and heartwarming stories that celebrate the joy of giving and the magic of childhood.

Concert 3: The Magic of the Islands

The third and final concert immerses attendees in the unique magic of the islands. From Caribbean rhythms such as parang and reggae, this segment celebrates the diverse cultural influences that make Christmas in Grenada truly special. Strachan said, “Get ready to sway to the rhythm and feel the magic of the islands come alive” with a special international guest artiste whose name will be released at a later date.

“We are excited to present Carols by Candlelight: The Magic of Christmas, a spectacular event that brings together the community in a spirit of joy, unity, and celebration,” said Club President Collin Francis. “This year’s theme reflects the enchantment and wonder that the holiday season brings, and we can’t wait to share these magical moments with everyone.”

Carols by Candlelight will be held on Sunday, 3 December 2023 at Quarantine Point Recreational Park from 4 pm. Patrons are encouraged to follow the Carols by Candlelight and The Rotary Club of Grenada social media pages for more information and event updates.
