The St Patrick Parish Sports Council, in collaboration with One Link Entertainment, is pleased to announce the hosting of its Pre-School Athletics Sports Day, scheduled for Thursday, 14 May 2026, at Fond, St Patrick. The pre-school sports will bring together young athletes from across the parish in a vibrant celebration of sport, development, and community engagement.

This initiative forms part of the Council’s continued commitment to grassroots sport development, with a specific focus on early childhood participation. The event will provide pre-schoolers with a safe and engaging environment to participate in basic athletic activities that promote physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and confidence-building.

Parents, guardians, educators, and community members are encouraged to attend and support the children as they take part in what promises to be a fun-filled and inspiring day of activity.

The Sports Day will feature a variety of age-appropriate events designed to encourage participation and enjoyment, while also fostering a spirit of unity and friendly competition among the young participants.

Chairperson of the St Patrick Parish Sports Council, Mr Jester Noel, underscored the importance of early engagement in sport, stating, “Investing in our children at the earliest stage is critical to their overall development. This Pre-School Athletics Sports Day is more than just an event it is an opportunity to introduce our young ones to the values of discipline, teamwork, and healthy living, while creating a positive and supportive environment for growth. As a Council, we remain committed to building strong foundations through sport and nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders within our communities.”

Chief Executive Officer of the Grenada National Sports Council, Mr Alvin Clouden, also commended the initiative, noting, “The Grenada National Sports Council fully supports initiatives such as the St Patrick Pre-School Athletics Sports Day, which align directly with our mandate to promote sport at all levels of society. Early exposure to structured physical activity is essential in developing well-rounded individuals and establishing lifelong healthy habits. This initiative reflects the strength of our Parish Sports Councils in advancing grassroots development and fostering a culture of participation, inclusiveness, and excellence in sport across Grenada.”

The St Patrick Parish Sports Council views this initiative as a critical step in nurturing future talent and reinforcing the importance of introducing structured physical activity at an early age. The Council remains committed to advancing the national mandate of “Sport for All, Every Age, Every Ability,” while contributing to the broader goal of building stronger communities through sport and wellness.

The Council extends its appreciation to all participating schools, parents, volunteers, and partners whose support continues to make initiatives like this possible.
