The World Free Zones Organisation is a global organisation representing and supporting 2,260 free zones across 168 countries. Its mission is to engage free zones globally by providing knowledge, networking, advocacy, and consulting to promote their positive impact and strengthen their contribution to economic prosperity and social development. The organisation was launched in Dubai in 2014 and is registered in Geneva, with World FZO describing itself as the only truly international, multilateral organisation for zones.
Cory Zufelt is the founder of Citez Grenada Ltd, a Grenadian-owned economic development company focused on building platforms for trade, investment, business services, migration, workforce development, digital onboarding, and future-ready industries. The company is advancing the proposed Citez Grenada Project, a private-sector-led economic development initiative designed to explore how Grenada can position itself as a strategic connector between the Caribbean, North America, South America, Africa, and wider global markets.
“This invitation is an important moment not only for Citez Grenada, but for Grenada’s wider conversation around economic development,” said Cory Zufelt.
“Tourism and culture should not only be viewed as visitor experiences. They can also become platforms for investment, entrepreneurship, digital trade, workforce development, cultural exports, and long-term national growth.”
The 12th World Congress is expected to bring together more than 1,500 policymakers, business leaders, and zone executives from across the globe, with participation from ministers, senior government officials, and international organisations.
Citez Grenada’s participation will highlight Grenada’s opportunity to explore modern economic zone models that connect tourism, culture, trade, digital services, green development, workforce training, and investment facilitation.
