The Fiscal Resilience Oversight Committee (FROC), in collaboration with the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), is hosting the FROC 2026 Essay and Creative Writing Competition.
The theme for this year’s competition is Fiscal and Climate Resilience: Reinforcing Grenada’s Future Through Sustainable Public Investment.
The topic for the essay is Exploring the Fiscal Resilience Act: Leveraging Climate-Resilient Public Investment and Renewable Energy to Enhance Government Operations and Sustainable Development.
The competition is open to Form 3 students at all secondary schools in the State of Grenada, with each school allowed to submit up to 3 entries. The competition will be delivered through a structured 2-week programme, 6–17 July 2026, at the community libraries.
The prizes for the winners are intended to encourage youth to grow and manage their finances for future investment and therefore include start-up capital at a financial institution and an electronic device.
