ASB Ltd, a small, dynamic company operating as a local agent under the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Programme, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional to join their team as their new Accountant.

Job Summary:

The accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements
  • Maintain and update a fixed asset register for the company
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting regulations and tax laws
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability
  • Support audits by providing required documentation and information
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and implement improvements
  • Assist with invoicing clients for services rendered and track outstanding payments
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and adhere to data protection regulations
  • Contribute to the overall operations of the business, through efficient service and timely collaboration with the other staff members, to support exceptional client service

Minimum Requirements – Qualifications & Experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:

Qualification (education) and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ACCA or CPA qualification will be an asset
  • At least 5 years’ proven experience as an Accountant or within a similar role

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Familiarity with Grenada Citizen by Investment Programme and local legal practices will be an asset

Skills (Technical/Functional/Behavioural):

  • Proficient in use of accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proactive and can thrive in a small environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
