Republic Bank has reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to community development and social impact, as it continues its partnership with 18 community-based organisations across Grenada.

In a presentation ceremony held on 26 February at the Grenada Olympic Centre, the bank underscored its confidence in its mission and its belief in the power of sustained collaboration to drive long-term, positive change.

Addressing the representatives, Kathleen Harris-Forrester, Manager — Retail Services at Republic Bank, commended the organisations for their unwavering dedication to supporting socially marginalised groups, expanding access to education, strengthening healthcare initiatives, and promoting environmental sustainability. She stated: “Today, we reaffirm our commitment to you and to the vital work you undertake. Republic Bank is proud to continue our financial support of your organisations, standing alongside you as partners in progress.”

Republic Bank also encouraged its partners to continue boldly sharing their stories and amplifying the impact of their work through traditional and digital media platforms. By highlighting their achievements and community contributions, organisations can inspire broader support from corporate Grenada, donors, and development partners.

Expressing gratitude for the bank’s unwavering support, Dr Sonia Nixon, President of the Grenada Cancer Society, expressed her gratitude for the longstanding partnership with Republic Bank. She used the opportunity to encourage early screening, which often results in timely intervention and improved health outcomes. Marva Gilkes, President of the Grenada National Patient Kidney Foundation, also made an appeal for greater public financial support, given the high costs of dialysis and the growing number of patients being assisted.

The partnership between Republic Bank and community-based organisations spans more than three decades, and remains a cornerstone of the bank’s corporate social responsibility strategy. Through its flagship Power to Make A Difference programme, the bank has consistently worked to build sustainable societies through meaningful collaboration.

Grounded in 4 core pillars: The Power to Learn, the Power to Care, the Power to Help, and the Power to Succeed, the programme continues to deliver measurable and lasting impact across communities. Together with its partners, Republic Bank has worked across social, economic and cultural boundaries to strengthen the nation’s social fabric and improve quality of life.

Republic Bank is a leading financial institution committed to fostering sustainable development through strategic community partnerships. By investing in community initiatives, the bank is investing in people, opportunity and the shared future of Grenada.
