Republic Bank proudly congratulates the winners, anglers, and organisers of the 2026 Pure Grenada Spice Island Billfish Tournament, which concluded last Friday with an awards ceremony, celebrating excellence on Grenada’s waters.

Firmly established as one of the Caribbean’s premier sport fishing events, this year’s tournament brought together 38 boats and 214 anglers, reinforcing Grenada’s reputation as a world-class destination for marine sport tourism. Competitors travelled from Trinidad & Tobago, Martinique, Barbados, St Lucia, the United States, and the United Kingdom to join our local anglers, contributing to a vibrant week of competition and camaraderie.

Republic Bank congratulates the top finishers:

  • 1st Place: Cocobel (Trinidad & Tobago) 7,500 points
  • 2nd Place: Zarron (Trinidad & Tobago) 3,900 points
  • 3rd Place: Afunday (Trinidad & Tobago) 3,600 points
  • 4th Place: Par Tee Time (St Lucia) 3,600 points
  • 5th Place: Maestro (Trinidad & Tobago) 2,400 points

Special recognition is extended to the following individual achievements:

  • Republic Bank Top Junior Angler: Louki Lanza-Louw of Smooth Ride (Barbados), exemplifying the future of the sport
  • Top Local Angler: Josh Maharaj of Rum Knuckles, proudly representing Grenada
  • Top Local Boat: Wicked 2,400 points

Republic Bank also commends the Pure Grenada Spice Island Billfish Tournament Committee, volunteers, sponsors, and partners for their continued commitment to excellence. Through their efforts, the tournament not only delivers a high-quality sporting experience but also supports local businesses, marine conservation, and community engagement, while spotlighting Grenada on the international stage.
