The Ministry of the Blue Economy and Marine Affairs informs the general public that the Melville Street Fish Market of the Fisheries Division will be temporarily closed on Monday, 12 January and Tuesday, 13 January 2026.
This closure is necessary to facilitate a training session on Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Standards and Protocols for Grenada Fish Markets, being conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Health. This training is aimed at improving food safety practices and ensuring compliance with local and international standards. The Melville Street Fish Market will resume normal operations on Wednesday, 14 January 2026.
The ministry regrets any inconvenience caused and thanks the public for its understanding and cooperation.
