Job Description
Facilities Consulting Limited is looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of bookkeeping, financial and accounting tasks. The clerk will be responsible to the Finance Administrator, ensuring business transactions and processes are effectively upkept.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine clerical accounting duties, entering data and financial transactions in the database daily
- Create and maintain spreadsheets
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation discrepancies that may arise
- Prepare bank deposits, checks, general ledger postings and statements
- Prepare invoices and receipts
- Assist with year-end audit preparations
- Secure financial information by backup and maintain strict confidentiality
- Maintain asset register and inventory catalogue
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain financial documents and records, including filing
- Prepare financial and other reports or summaries when necessary
- Provide interoffice support
- Function in accordance with accounting standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Assist with other clerical and administrative tasks when required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Competency with accounting software (QuickBooks), Microsoft Office and other software
- Experience in bookkeeping, reporting and accounting procedures
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Organised
Required qualifications
- Degree or equivalent certification in accounting
