The Rotary Clubs in Grenada proudly supported their Interactors who represented Grenada at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2025, held 14–16 November in Antigua.

Bringing together more than 270 young leaders from 13 countries across District 7030, the conference centred on “Youth in Leadership: Embracing Challenges and Empowering Change,” reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to cultivating ethical, service-driven leadership.

Grenada was represented by Jonathan Bedeau, Maximus Clunes, and Liana LaO-Batista of The St George’s Institute, along with Shatina Roberts of The Grenada Christian Academy. They were supported by a dedicated team of chaperones: from the Rotary Club of Grenada, Director Dr Gabrielle Walcott-Bedeau and her Partner in Service Renrick Bedeau; Rotarian Dr Elida Batista-Herrera, and Immediate Past President of the Rotaract Club of Grenada East, Assistant District Treasurer Anissa La Gueer, who provided guidance, mentorship, and leadership throughout the conference.

Throughout the programme, the Grenadian delegation demonstrated Service Above Self through meaningful outreach at the Adele School for Special Children and by presenting a collection of Grenadian-authored books to the Antigua and Barbuda National Library — strengthening regional fellowship and cultural understanding. Delegates also participated in workshops focused on leadership, communication, ethics, mental health, and digital safety. Director Dr Gabrielle Walcott-Bedeau delivered a session on Digital Integrity, encouraging youth to use technology responsibly and nurture positive digital habits aligned with Rotary values.

District leaders commended the delegation for their enthusiasm, discipline, and collaborative spirit — qualities that reflect Rotary’s Four-Way Test and commitment to positive community impact. The students returned home inspired and ready to strengthen their Interact Clubs and deepen their service to the community.
