The National Water and Sewerage Authority (Nawasa) invites applications for the post of Creative Media Specialist. This is a fast-paced, field-intensive role ideal for a creative storyteller with strong technical skills and a sharp visual eye. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing compelling written and visual content  —  including photography, videography, graphic design, and digital media  —  for internal and external communication. They will travel islandwide to capture project progress, events, and human-interest stories, and will be expected to conceptualise and deliver short-form, high-quality reels and video content quickly and effectively. A valid driver’s license is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Islandwide Project Coverage: Provide multimedia coverage of all Nawasa projects, events, and initiatives across Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique — capturing impactful visuals and storytelling moments on location

  • Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photos and video footage showcasing Nawasa’s work, infrastructure development, and community impact
  • Video Editing and Post-Production: Edit and produce video content using professional editing software, maintaining a quick turnaround and consistent brand style
  • Graphic Design: Create bold, clean, and visually striking graphics for social media, reports, posters, newsletters, and advertisements
  • Media and Campaign Support: Collaborate with the Communications Unit to support visual storytelling for public awareness campaigns, interviews, and digital marketing
  • Field Logistics: Travel and logistics for field assignments; ensure consistent documentation and timely submission of content
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with all departments to ensure all outputs align with strategic goals and uphold Nawasa’s brand identity

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Associate Degree or higher in Media Production, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in multimedia content creation, including writing, filming, editing, and social media publishing
  • Advanced proficiency in photography, videography, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
  • Solid graphic design skills with experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience producing short-form video content (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
  • Ability to think creatively and act quickly in the field, adapting to dynamic situations while maintaining high production standards
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel frequently for assignments
  • A professional portfolio demonstrating past work (videos, reels, designs, photography) must be included or linked in the application

Reporting and supervision:

  • Reports to: Communications Supervisor

Terms of employment:

  • Type: 1-year contract
  • Location: Based at Nawasa’s Headquarters, with frequent field travel
  • Schedule: Standard working hours with flexibility for after-hours assignments as needed

Performance Evaluation:

Performance will be assessed at the end of the contract period based on content quality, creativity, field responsiveness, branding consistency, adherence to deadlines, and overall support to the Communications Unit’s goals.
